It rains and people get kind of fussy.
Over here in my little world I am more along the lines of ---oh my goodness >>> today is special!
So maybe I am a little backwards but rain is like a special event or a surprise party.
I woke up this morning and heard the rain outside my window and I got excited. Every other day is pretty normal -- sunshine and blue skies.
Rainy days are special.
Sure it might be kind of messy and sometimes dangerous. I get that.
However, this is a positive memo for rain...
...and rain is magic.
Rain makes things fresh again, everything looks brighter, and everything green is a little greener.
Rain makes for a free car wash and did I mention how awesome it smells.
Here in Memphis the rain brought in a cold front...which made for some awesome weather for a really good run this afternoon.
We're planning an outdoor wedding.
I told my fiance' today that if it did rain on our wedding day we would just consider it a surprise party thrown by the Big Man.

Finishing up...
hey there lovely people.
I am currently completing school work for my summer course (so please bear with me).
Even though I "graduated" in May...I won't receive my diploma until the end of the summer.
The work I have done throughout the summer counts as my last 3 credit hours and there was a little bit of homework to go along with it. I should be done with most everything this week.
On September 5th I will give a final presentation about the projects I worked on over the summer. Tonight I am completing a PowerPoint that goes along with my presentation! Last little bit of school work forever (maybe-- for now anyways).
My realization the other day >>> for the first time since I was five years old I will not be going back to school this August.
That is a tad bit crazy.
One of those life plans (enters here): I plan to never stop learning and growing.
I don't necessarily mean I am going to go get an accounting degree (this girl is not the person you want to be accounting on). <<< that was corny -- don't judge me ;)
When I say I want to learn >>> I mean I want to always take the opportunities and risks. I want to truly live and not just let those certain moments of brilliance pass by.
I'll make a list of the current things bouncing around in my mind and get back to you and when those random opportunities pop up, I'll let you know.
For now, I have the last bit of college homework calling my name.
I'll leave you with a thought:

Happy Friday Beautiful People!
Smile big for the weekend :)
Life Lately
4th of July weekend I took a trip out west to visit this guy.
He is currently working in Nevada & picked me up at the airport in Salt Lake City.
My parents are adventurers (so I was no doubt born to be one myself). We went out west a few times when I was younger. I remember loving it then. Nothing has changed.
I was all two year old....whoa pretty mountains.....the whole time. I would take pictures then turn to him and say this just doesn't work you can't capture this beauty in an image. He would just smile at me <<< he knows I am an crazy one.
I love adventuring and finding new things especially when I get to adventure with someone who enjoys adventuring just as much as I do.
all of that white stuff around me is salt!
I was so amazed.
you may be wondering if I tasted it....
and if you weren't wondering well I suppose now you may be thinking, "she tasted it"
if that's what you are thinking....I totally did.
it tasted....salty.
and all I could think about was how badly I needed a tomato at the time.
We had an awesome weekend. It included: a waterfall, snow, and one heck of a hiking trip that took a total of 5 hours >>> and then we had some of the best pizza that I have ever put in my mouth >>> we might have had ice cream after (I'll never ever tell).
technically this was a late post, but I felt it necessary to catch everyone up on the adventures I've been on lately.
I'm out for the night.
smile people :)

...back from Jupiter
In honor of my one year hiatus...
I feel that it is only necessary to pick back up where I left off and spread a little sunshine.
Let me catch you up. This will be the quick version. If I wrote about the past year we would be here a while. I would get bored. You would too. There would be way too many words and well.....you see :)
So folks >>> let's break this down.
I graduated college. It was truly one of the best days of my entire life.

yes. that is in fact a huge flower on my dress.
....and there were flowers on my cap too!
I smiled all day long.
on an honest note: a few years ago when I started this blog I didn't see the light at the end of the tunnel.
prayers and love fed my soul and got me through.
truly an amazing day spent with a few of my biggest fans.
so I graduated >>> what next?
I accepted a job with Worlds Away in Memphis, Tennessee as a design assistant!
(this is the company I did an internship with last summer)
really though what next....
not just the job.
what's next >>> finding myself.
what? you didn't do that during school.
no. well I mean maybe a little.
life is a journey.
never stop learning & growing.
if my journey was done, if I was done > I wouldn't still be here.
my little abode here is quiet the cozy spot.
It's an awesome place to dream up new dreams and discover new things that need discovering.
with all my spare time (since I no longer have school work) I picked up a new hobby.
(I'll do a post about this new hobby soon)
see you soon...promise ;)

Wild & Free
You only have one life
&
every new day is a gift.
most days I have this strong urge to be more or do more.
wanting to grow old and have regrets is not on my to do list.
by all means I am a dreamer.
the last thing I want to be is a dreamer that never did anything about those dreams.
New goals for the year:
embrace life
embrace who I am
Inspiration:
Joy Prouty and her family.
What they are doing:
living life on the road out of their renovated 1950 Spartanette Trailer
----with four little ones ;)
To watch a documentary Yahoo! did on the Prouty family click >>>here!
and check out Joy's blog >>> here!
Hope they inspire you too!

Strike!
hello lovely people...this is my bowling ball bag ;)
during my Monday adventure I came across this vintage bowling ball carrier and it was love at first sight. In fact, falling in love with it happened so quickly that our love story is kind of blurry. ;) hehe
leaving without this bag was not an option due to the following:
a. it is beautiful.
b. that pattern is amazing.
c. it was $10 dollars. (seriously)
This pattern inspires me to make something beautiful.
I hope your Monday was beautiful!
Here in my world facing Monday with a smile is key ;)
